Discover the Beauty of Hippo Waterfront Lodge

Hippo Waterfront Lodge is the most peaceful and quiet setting on the banks of the Crocodile River only 10 km out of Nelspruit. We are less than 6km from the Mbombela Stadium Affordable, clean, comfortable and fully equipped en-suite timber log chalets and rooms ensures a real rustic and African bush experience. Each self-catering chalet has a magnificent view of the river from its private veranda. Running water, rolling green lawns and lots of indigenous trees offers abundant bird life to this setting as well as visits by the resident hippos.

Fishing on the banks of the Crocodile River sounds like a fantastic experience and it is! The Crocodile river is known for its diverse fish species, including baber (catfish), eel, carp, and yellowfish. Come and enjoy the tranquility and the thrill of fishing in such a scenic environment.

Restaurant & Bar
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner is served on our deck over looking the Crocodile River (on request). A full bar is available. The bar / restaurant area can seat 50 people.

Conferencing Facilities
We have conferencing facilities for up to 50 people. A White board, projector DVD & Television are available. The area is air-conditioned and catering can be arranged.

Day Visitors
Day visitors are welcome. Pre-Booking is essential. Minimum of 6 people per group. No cooler boxes are allowed due to us having a fully stocked bar area.

Pool Rules – Hippo Waterfront Lodge
To ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests, please follow these pool guidelines:

No Glass Allowed
Glass bottles or containers are strictly prohibited in and around the pool area. Plastic glasses are provided for your convenience.

Alcohol & Noise
Excessive alcohol consumption, pool parties, and personal music are not permitted. Hippo Waterfront Lodge is a tranquil space intended for rest and relaxation.

Children
Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Weather Safety
For safety reasons, the pool may not be used during thunderstorms or heavy rain.

Swimwear
Proper swimwear is required at all times in the pool.

Enforcement
Non-compliance with these rules may result in restricted pool access or expulsion from the premises.
